The Perm Territory is a region of the Russian Federation demonstrating
steady rates of economic development, a territory with political stability
and investment appeal.
At present the regional government faces the task of attracting centers of
profit and management to the Territory, and we do our best to establish all the
conditions necessary. One of such measures is to ease tax load on the business using the authority that the Government of the Territory has in regard to regional taxes. We have decided to reduce profit tax from 24% to 20%. Since January 1, 2006 many of the enterprises in the Territory are able to channel the released funds for the development of their own production facilities or invest them into the regional economy.
The Government of the Perm Territory is implementing a number of specific
projects aimed at establishment of a favorable business environment: we develop the transport infrastructure, including the project of a multimodal logistic center; we are preparing to introduce the International Baccalaureate (IB) program in the Territory. After completing this program, our youth will be able to continue their education later virtually in any country of the world.
