Koryaksky Autonomous District £20
Oleg Kozhemyako,
GOVERNOR OF THE KORYAKSKY AUTONOMOUS DISTRICT

The Koryaksky Autonomous District is one of the most remote regions of the
Russian Federation. It was formed October 10, 1930. In 1993, it became a
full-fledged region of the Russian Federation and entered a new stage of
economic development. The Region’s economic potential is considerable. It has unique geographic location and ethnic features. The land, shores, and seas washing the Region are rich in natural resources, including extremely valuable seafood, fuel, precious and rare metals. The Region is famous for its reindeers.
The District’s Administration is currently implementing the Program for Social
and Economic Development of the Koryaksky Autonomous District, 2003–2008, covering the development of the local fuel and power industry, its own energy sector, on-shore fish-processing industry, and transport system.
The Koryaksky Autonomous District’s investment legislation enables us to
invite investors and trading partners to participate in the development of the
District’s abundant natural resources. The Administration is committed to minimizing risks, providing an investment friendly environment, and encouraging investment activity in the District.
The Koryaksky Autonomous District Administration is open to talk to all
partners interested in investing in the District and eager to consider offers for
participation in the implementation of the District’s programs and projects.
Numerous forms of involvement are possible.
We invite you to invest in our District on mutually beneficial terms.
