Russia: All Regions Trade and Investment Guide - a Project of the Council for Trade and Economic Cooperation (Russia - USA).
Viktor Ishayev,
GOVERNOR OF THE KHABAROVSK TERRITORY,
CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNMENT
OF THE KHABAROVSK TERRITORY

The Khabarovsk Territory is rightfully known as the heart of Russia’s Far East. The Territory boasts an advantageous geographical location, a unique natural environment, rich natural resources, considerable industrial and scientific potentials, and a qualified workforce.
Compared to other areas of the Far East, the Khabarovsk Territory enjoys a
diversified industrial base in which manufacturing accounts for the lion’s share of total output. The Khabarovsk Territory has a strong machine engineering sector.
Machine engineering companies of the Territory manufacture the advanced Sukhoi military aircraft (civil aircraft construction is developing, too), ocean and river vessels of various classes and designation, and consumer goods, including complex household appliances.
The Khabarovsk Territory ranks first among the Far Eastern regions in terms
of industrial timber output and is among the top three Russian gold mining regions.
The Territory’s location on the border with China, its seaports, its international
airport which is the largest in the Far East, and access to the Trans-Siberian
and Baikal-Amur Railroads make the Khabarovsk Territory an important player in Russia’s integration with the rest of the Asia-Pacific.
The Territory’s economy stands to benefit from foreign and Russian capital
investment, advanced technology, and managerial experience. Top priority fields for investment include mineral resource extraction and processing, launching and revamping of production of new types of machinery and consumer goods, development of transport infrastructure and communications, tourism, and consumer services. The Territory has vast potential for development of cooperation, trade, research, and culture links with foreign countries and other Russian regions.
We invite you to invest in the Khabarovsk Territory and are confident that
you will find committed and responsible partners here.
